So I have a question for you. Feel free to not answer. But you're a beautiful, blond, intelligent woman...you seem to have things well in hand, etc...

What draws you to someone like Sheppard...John? Is it the pretty eyes, the permanently rumpled hair? The easy grin or the dorky eyeglasses?

I mean what is it?

...Seriously? Well. You seem to be. And you gave me compliments, so that's a plus.

I guess it would be all of that and more. I've kinda been going for the cute, flirty pilot type since I first realized boys didn't have cooties. (Most of them, anyway.)

Why do you ask?

Just wondering if there was something special about Shep in particular. More? Would you care to elaborate?

I'm just trying to find a way to maybe make our favorite Kirk a little less Kirk. Sometimes it's bad for trade negotiations.

Well. He's pretty perfect? And easy to talk to, easy to be around. And I just have a thing for pilots in particular. It's kind of a type thing, and besides that, John just happens to be one of the best I've ever met, cause some pilots really aren't worth it.

Hopefully he'll be a little less like "Kirk" now? I don't think he was as really bad as you say. Was he? Unless he just keeps attracting women without trying, like Larrin. I think part of it's just charisma and confidence.

Why are you so curious?

So when...how...will I be seeing you sooner rather than later then?

I'm pretty curious myself, hence asking why you were curious. And I didn't mean anything by... Just forget I said it that way, okay?

Yeah, I'm seeing if I can visit again pretty soon. Just wish there was a faster way to get to Colorado from New York. Funny and annoying how it takes longer to get across the country than it does to get to the city.

See, I knew you'd warm up to me. ;)

I'll take your word for it.

So things are good on Atlantis?

No worries. These Canadian lips are sealed.

There have been no death-defying escapades lately. Quite calm, and all my minions are quite terrified of me.

All is good in the world.

You? How are you doing?

Yes, I have minions, glorious idiots who cannot find the square root of pi without my assistance.

You think you might have the ATA gene? Tests with tech we can do. I'll personally supervise, so you're not left with any of the morons.

Good. Glad to hear that.

Well, I guess your work is pretty classified, and they wouldn't have put you there if you couldn't keep a secret to some degree. ;)

Of course, McKay, what would they ever do without you?

We did a few while I was there before, but I want to practice some more. Wanna be able to fly the Jumper a bit. Dunno if I'll ever get the chair to work, but that might be for the best, for now. At least til I have more practice. So you can point me in the direction of some safe stuff to practice on.

So... tell me a little more about Larrin again?

Atlantis would have been destroyed already - three times over.

We did... Oh yes now I remember. And yes of course, we can play with the tech. I have a few things that are small enough that there shouldn't be any too major catastrophes...

She was hot and evil. Frankly, you're hotter. And not evil.

Good, I'm excited! And I would prefer not to cause any catastrophes, yes.

...You think I'm hot? Well, of course you do. I'm glad you do. And I'm glad you know I'm not evil. He told me a little about Larrin. If she ever hurts John again there might be... consequences.

You're saying that as a friend, right? Right.

Well... maybe he and me are a good match, then, cause John's attractive and handsome and smart and funny and sweet. Plus he's straight AND single, two huge bonus points in his favor and the icing on the cake. Him being a cute pilot who's good at flirting is the ice cream on the side. Or on top, y'know, whatever you prefer.

But it's stuff like the whole MENSA thing that has me feeling now and then like he's too smart for me. *shrugs* But it's not a big deal. Just don't see how I could be too good for him. I'm not sure anyone is good enough for him.
